How to Enter

 

To enter the challenge, complete the Challenge Application form by no later than July 31, 2020 at 11:59pm CST.

 

Each submission should include the following:

 

• 2-3 minute video pitch, submitted as an unlisted YouTube URL

• 3-5 sentence description of your idea

• Signed Media Consent & Release Form in PDF form for each participant / team member

  • If connected to Gmail, from the link above select to Open With DocHub or Lumin PDF to sign electronically.

  • Otherwise, use DocuSign, SmallPDF, LightPDF, or Preview (Mac) to sign and download.

 

Individual & Team Requirements

• Participants must be between ages 13 - 21 at the time of the submission deadline to apply.

• Ideas may be submitted by individuals or by teams of no more than three (3) people. All team members must meet the eligibility requirements, and be identified by name and email address in the application materials.

• Individuals are limited to submitting only one (1) independent entry, and teams are limited to submitting only one (1) team submission.

• An individual who submits their own independent entry can also contribute to a team entry. However, individuals may not be part of more than two (2) entries per challenge (e.g. one individual entry & one team entry).

 

Submission Requirements

 

• All submission information must be submitted in English.

• Each submission & presentation represents an original work that has been created by the team members applying.

• Recorded video submissions should be limited to three (3) minutes. Participants are free to use their creativity as they see fit to best portray their concept, as well as incorporating prototypes, images, sounds, motion graphics, etc. into their videos.

• A challenge entry constitutes an agreement to adhere to the rules, terms and conditions set forth by The Gray Matter Experience.

• Submissions/presentations do not disclose any third-party intellectual property or violate any existing copyright protections.

• The materials and information submitted via application form are considered final.

• Incomplete submissions and/or submissions that do not adhere to all challenge rules, terms, conditions and judging criteria may be penalized and excluded from judging.
