Position Overview

The Gray Matter Experience seeks an experienced curriculum design professional with extensive understanding of entrepreneurship and business development processes to join us as our Manager of Education & Curriculum. This rewarding position works closely with our program leadership team to create, develop, and manage impactful entrepreneurship curriculum to meet the unique academic, social and emotional needs of high school students engaged in our extraordinary portfolio of educational programs and enrichment activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Entrepreneurship Curriculum Design

Design, develop, enhance, deploy and evaluate entrepreneurship curriculum solutions that align with the strategic direction and mission of our organization, program strategy, and evaluation metrics

  • Develop a playbook that ensures outstanding program delivery and meets our measured outcomes and deliverables as set forth in our logic model

  • Create innovative entrepreneurship curriculum for programs to be delivered in a variety of technology-enhanced settings and modalities (onsite, online, and hybrid)

  • Regularly review and evaluate content and outcomes to provide quality control and continuous improvement as measured by student engagement and other program metrics

  • Adhere to a deadline-driven workflow by completing curriculum and supplemental materials within the timeline established for each development phase

  • Deliver effective interactive training for workshop facilitators 

  • Provide meaningful feedback and consistent support related to curriculum instruction to Program team, staff, and other stakeholders

  • Stay current with developments and trends in virtual and onsite learning, entrepreneurship, and business development, identifying opportunities for new learning content and proactively pursuing them

  • Visit program sites as necessary to observe and evaluate curriculum instruction, implementation and engagement in real time

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • At least 3 years of experience developing programming that considers the impact of race, gender, socio-economic status, and other identities on the academic and educational experiences of business founders or entrepreneurs

  • At least 3 years of experience working in and/or developing educational programs in an entrepreneurial support environment (incubator, accelerator, ESO/BSO, VC firm, etc.) preferred

  • At least 3 years of experience using software management and LMS tools (Airtable, Google Suites, MailChimp, Slack, Asana, Thinkific, Schoology, Teachable, or similar program)

  • Demonstrated success in developing entrepreneurial content and curriculum that meets or exceeds established program goals and metrics 

  • Experience developing impactful youth programming in an educational setting, youth development agency, or out-of-school program is strongly preferred

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with a diverse base of stakeholders and constituents at all levels, including organizational leaders, community partners, families, school administrators and donors

  • Eager to thrive both in a team environment and independently with agility and flexibility under minimal supervision 

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with a small team and manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing daily responsibilities in a fast-paced, startup environment 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail 

  • Demonstrate initiative and perseverance to achieve desired outcomes in an innovative and fast-paced environment with a positive disposition and focus on continuous improvement
