In May, our founder and CEO, Britney Robbins, was named as one of the Chicago Defender's Women of Excellence. This award "celebrates local African American women who inspire others through their vision and leadership, exceptional achievements, and participation in community service".
In their 14th year of induction, the Chicago Defender focused on selecting those who are deemed "champions of economic empowerment and diversity, backbone of religious and educational organizations, and driving forces in politics and community service". The ceremony to honor awardees will be held via Facebook Live on May 21st at 6pm CST.
