This summer six ambitious young entrepreneurs, aged 18-24, embarked on a transformative journey with our Hustle Hacks cohort. This group met bi-weekly, honing their skills and refining their strategies to elevate their side hustles into thriving, sustainable businesses. The diversity and innovation in their ventures were truly inspiring, ranging from a cosmetics brand to a platform for motivational speakers, a digital marketing agency, a custom print business, and even a mobile beauty industry delivery service.
None of this would have been possible without the invaluable support of our dedicated business coaches. Each entrepreneur received personalized 1:1 coaching sessions, packed with actionable strategies tailored to their specific needs and goals. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our amazing coaches, Amanda Cayemitte, Tawana Carter, Donald Grayson Jr. MBA, Skotty Welch, and Jordan Holmes, who were instrumental in guiding our young entrepreneurs through this pivotal phase of their business journey.
In addition to the coaching, our cohort had the privilege of learning from established entrepreneurs who generously shared their stories and advice during our fireside chats. Uduimoh Ellis Umolu, Abena Boamah-Acheampong, and IB Majekodunmi delivered powerful insights, motivating our young business owners to push their boundaries and think bigger about the future of their ventures.
Culmination at the Young Black Entrepreneurs Market
The culmination of this incredible journey took place at the Young Black Entrepreneurs Market during Pitch Black. Here, our cohort members had the opportunity to showcase and sell their products and services to a broader audience. It was a day of celebration, not just of their hard work and determination, but of the vibrant community of young Black entrepreneurs who are making their mark in the business world.
From side hustle to thriving venture, the Hustle Hacks cohort has shown what can be achieved with the right guidance, support, and a relentless drive to succeed.
